To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the fol-
lowing work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

Loosen dfferental feed lock nut 2 . Move lever
1 up for stretchng sttch or down for gatherng
sttch.

When you want to move the lever 1 only
slghtly, use dfferental feed mnute-adjust screw

set to graduaton S, the machne wll perform
stretchng wth a dfferental feed rato of : 0.8.
When the lever s set to graduaton 0, the dffer-
ental feed rato between the man feed dog and
the dfferental feed dog wll be : .

The maxmum dfferental feed rato for gather-
ng s : . The graduatons beyond 0 are used
as standard.

After the adjustment, securely tghten locknut 2 .
