(2) Setting thresholds for the start sensor and curve sensor
The with-work position and the without-work position can be respectively detected to set the thresh-
old for the amount of light received, to the middle point between the two position.

Adjust the clearance provded between the cloth
gude and cloth plate to 5 mm before startng
adjustment.
Turn on the power to the machne.
Be sure to carry out adjustment under the
machine setting mode in order to prevent
accidents caused by abrupt start of the
machine.

Open the sensor amplifier cover.

Place the SET/RUN changeover swtch n SET.
4)
Place a sheet of whte paper (substtute for
the materal) at the sensor rradatng poston
located between the cloth gude and the cloth
plate.

Press ether UP or DOWN for one second.
("----" flashes on and off.)
6)
Remove the whte paper. Press ether UP or
DOWN for one second wth nothng placed at
the sensor rradatng poston.
7)
The threshold set flashes on and off twice to
complete the settng procedure.
8)
Place the SET/RUN changeover swtch n RUN.
9)
The settng procedure s completed and the
ndcaton returns to the one gven before the
operaton.
Close the sensor amplifier cover.
0) Insert the materal nto the cloth gude unt.
Check to be sure that the amount of lght re-
ceved do not exceed the threshold.
