Monitoring the Fan Status

To display the fan status of a switch:
1. Log into the switch as the admin user.
2. Enter the fanshow command at the command line. The possible values for
The following example is the command output from a Core Switch 2/64.
Example
switch:admin> fanshow
Fan #1 is OK, speed is 2616 RPM
Fan #2 is OK, speed is 2596 RPM
Fan #3 is OK, speed is 2596 RPM
switch:admin>
The following example is the command output from a SAN Switch 2/32.
Example:
switch:admin> fanshow
Fan #1 is OK, speed is 7500 RPM
Fan #2 is OK, speed is 7560 RPM
Fan #3 is OK, speed is 7560 RPM
Fan #4 is OK, speed is 7590 RPM
Fan #5 is OK, speed is 7440 RPM

OK - Fan is functioning correctly.
absent - Fan is not present.
below minimum - Fan is present but rotating too slowly or stopped.
