Restoring the System Configuration Settings

System Configurations can be saved through the Fabric OS, or through Fabric
Manager. To back up or restore system configuration settings through Fabric
Manager, refer to the HP StorageWorks Fabric Manager Version 3.0.x User
Guide.
To restore the system configuration settings from a backup:
1. Verify that the FTP service is running on the host workstation.
2. Log into the switch as the admin user.
3. Shut down the switch by entering the switchdisable command.
4. Enter the configdownload command at the command line. The command

Example:
switch:admin> configdownload
Server Name or IP Address [host]: 192.168.15.42
User Name [user]: johndoe
File Name [config.txt]: config-switch.txt
Password:
This command is used to download a backed-up configuration
for a specific switch.
