The camcorder can take, store and manage still hnages on 2 types of memo U
cltrds: the MultiMediaCard (supplied with the camcorder) or an SD Memory Card
(commercially available). The MultiMediaCard is an ultra-small, ultra-light media
that can record still images. About the same size its a MultiMediaCard, the SD
(Secure Digital) Memory Card hits the protect switch to protect your recording
from accidental erasure, and tits into the same slot as the MultiMediaCard.
You can do the following with a memory
card:
, Record still images ({223103)
, View still images 3 ways: Single

index screen ( [2221 108)
, Select the quality of flnages ( [2221 1 00)
and the image resolution ( [212] 1 01)
recorded on the card
, Protect flnportant images against accidental erasure, print mark and erase still

, Record a still image from a cassette (_21 105)
, Copy multiple still images automatically to and from a cassette ([_3 120, 121 )
You can use most of the camcorder's functions when recording to a memory card,
such as the various recording programs ([2121 5 6), self-timer (_ 69), shutter speed
([222175), white balance ( [2_ 78) and other manual adjustments. Available functions
are mitrked with the _ * _ or _ * _i_ icons.
• if you use memory cards other than the supplied one, make sure to format
them with the camcordec
Important
• inserting or removing the memory card without first setting the POWER
switch to OFF can result in data damage.
• This camcorder uses only MultiMediaCards or SD Memory Cards(5"_ *).
You cannot use any other types of memory cltrds.
