You can take natural-looking flash pictures with appropriate flluminafion using
the built-in flash, whether they are night scenes, indoors or in other dark places. [t
also reduces rod-eye effect when shooting people at night or in dark indoor
places.
_A (Auto): The flash automatically fires according to the brightness of the
subject.
<D (Red-eye reduction auto): The flash pre-fires automatically before the main
firing to reduce red-eye effect.
(Flash on): The flash is forced to fire regardless of the brightness of the
snbject.
@ (Flash off): The flash does not fire. Use this setting when you are shooting
in places where flash photography is prohibited.

1. Press the i (flash)button.
, The display changes in the following order with each press of the button.
i t` (Auto) _ _3_ (Red-eye reduction auto)
@ (Flash off) _- i (Flash on) .*----]
• The selected mode appears in the display, with the exception of i A (Auto),
which is displayed and then disappears after 4 seconds.
• When you press the flash button while Auto is selected and i t` is not
displayed, it' appears. Then, when you press the button while it is
displayed, you can change the setting.

2. Press the PHOTO button half way down and hold it.
, The flash automatically rises.

3. Press the PHOTO button fully down to take the still picture.
• The flash tires.
• During recoNing, the display show-s the still image.
