Temporarily Changing the Business Schedule

CHANGING THE
GREETING
TEMPORARILY
The procedures that follow allow you to change the
business schedule to accommodate an early closing on a
day your business is usually open (for example, an
emergency closing due to inclement weather) and to
record a Temporary Closure Greeting.
This change affects only the day you make it.
NOTE:
The regular schedule automatically resumes the
next day.
You can record a greeting that announces the temporary
change in your business schedule or you can use the
prerecorded greeting as follows:
"Hello, welcome to the MERLIN MAIL system. Our
office is temporarily closed. If you have a Touch-Tone
telephone, press [
message."
