Chapter 3
Figure 3-1. Removing the HP NetServer's Front Bezel
To replace the front bezel:
1. Hold it up in front of the HP NetServer. Press the bezel's bottom edge
against the server. Make sure that the bottom of the bezel hooks under the
two metal tabs mounted on the front of the server.
2. Firmly press the top of the bezel onto the front of the HP NetServer until
you hear a click. Make sure that the mounting pins on the server align
with the connectors on the back of the bezel itself.

Undocking the Satellite Chassis

In design, the HP NetServer LXr Pro8 is like a file cabinet. The base chassis is
the frame of the file cabinet, while the satellite chassis is the file drawer. When
you want to get at something in the satellite chassis, you pull out the "drawer" on
its slides and get what you want. When you're done, you push the satellite
chassis back in, just as you close a file drawer. You also attach the retention
bracket, much like locking the file drawer.
This arrangement allows you to easily access the HP NetServer's logic and
memory boards when the server is in the rack.
