2. Disconnect the fan cable from the system motherboard. Refer to Figure 5–19 or
Figure 5–20.
CAUTION: Be sure to reconnect the fan cable(s) when you have
finished installing the processor. Failure to reconnect
the fan could cause the unit to overheat and damage
the processor(s).
3. Remove the screws attaching the CPU shroud to the system motherboard and
pull the shroud straight up. Set the shroud aside. See , Figure 5–18, Figure 5–19
or Figure 5–20.
