NOTE:
When replacing a drive, use the four retainer screws that were used for the old drive when
installing the new drive.
To install an optical drive:
1.
Follow the procedure above to remove the old optical drive.
2.
If necessary, remove the bezel blank covering the 5.25-inch drive bay.
3.
Slide the drive into the optical drive bay (1) and secure it in place with the four retainer screws
(2).

Connect the power cable (1) and data cable (2) to the rear of the optical drive.

CAUTION:
Never crease or bend a SATA data cable tighter than a 30 mm (1.18 in) radius. A
sharp bend can break the internal wires.
5.
Connect the other end of the SATA data cable to the white system board connector labeled SATA
