Sliding door that covers the optical drive will not open.
Cause
The sliding door is locked.
Not getting the correct power on the COM port.

Solving Power Problems

Common causes and solutions for power problems are listed in the following table.

Cause
Power supply will not turn on because of internal power supply
fault.
Computer powered off automatically and the Power LED flashes Red two times, once every second, followed by a two
second pause, and the computer beeps two times. (Beeps stop after fifth iteration but LEDs continue flashing.)

Processor thermal protection activated:
A fan may be blocked or not turning.
OR
The heatsink is not properly attached to the processor.
Powered POS peripherals do not power on.
Cause
Power supply cable not connected to powered USB card.

Solution
Use the provided key to unlock the door then slide the door
down.

Reference Guide for instructions on setting the COM port
jumpers for power.

supply.

Ensure that the computer air vents are not blocked.
2.
Open hood, press power button, and see if the system fan
spins. If the system fan is not spinning, make sure the
fan's cable is plugged onto the system board header.

If fan is plugged in, but is not spinning, then replace the
fan assembly.
4.
Contact an authorized reseller or service provider.
Solution
Make sure power supply cable is connected to powered USB
card.
