Preparing for Faxing
Other Basic Settings
You can select the following items in FAX user settings of Fax settings.
For details, refer to the on-screen manual:

Auto print

When ON is selected, a received fax or Activity report will be printed automatically when the machine
received a fax.
When OFF is selected, the received fax will not be printed but be stored in the memory and also TX/
RX reports, MULTI TX (Transmission) report, and Activity report will not be printed automatically.
TX Terminal ID
For sending faxes in black & white, selects the position to print the sender information from outside
or inside the image area.
After selecting the print position, select FAX to print "FAX" or TEL to print "TEL" before your fax/
telephone number.
When sending faxes in color, the sender information is printed inside the image area.

Offhook alarm

Selects whether to set off an alarm when the handset is off hook.

Volume control

Adjusts RX ring volume or Line monitor volume during the transmission.
RX ring level
Selects the level of the ringing sound the machine makes.

Activity report

Prints the history of sent and received faxes. The machine is set to print an Activity report after every
20 transactions by default. You can also print it manually by pressing the
successively, and selecting Print reports/lists in the FAX settings menu.
