Formatting a Memory Card

✤ You can use the FORMAT function to completely
delete all still images/motion clips and options on the
Memory Card, including protected still images/motion
clips.
✤ The format function restores the Memory Card to its
initial state.
✤ The Memory Stick supplied with this camcorder has
been formatted already.
1. Turn your camera on by setting the Power Switch to
(CAMERA) mode.
2. Press the MENU button.

then press the DOWN button.

The submenu including "FORMAT" is displayed.
4. Press the DOWN or UP button to select "FORMAT",
then press the RIGHT button.

The available options are listed: YES and NO.
5. Highlight your option by pressing the DOWN or UP
button, then press the OK button.
6. If "YES" is selected, message "FORMAT:OK" appears
on the LCD monitor.

If "OK" is selected, message "PLEASE WAIT"
appears on the LCD monitor and then "FORMAT
DONE" appears when the format is completed.
Reference
✤ If you execute the FORMAT function, all still
images/motion clips will be erased completely and
erased still images/motion clips cannot be recovered.
✤ Formatting the memory card using a different device
will cause memory card read errors.
✤ Formatting the memory card deletes all the stored data
in the memory card.
✤ Do not turn the power off in the middle of the formatting.

Eine Speicherkarte formatieren

✤ Mit Funktion FORMATIEREN <FORMAT> werden alle auf
einer Speicherkarte enthaltenen Bilder/Filmclips (auch
geschützte) endgültig gelöscht.
✤ Durch eine Formatierung wird die Speicherkarte
vollständig in ihren Lieferzustand zurückgesetzt.
✤ Der im Lieferumfang enthaltene Memory Stick ist bereits
formatiert.
1. Schalten Sie die Kamera ein, indem Sie mit dem
Hauptschalter den Modus
einstellen.
2. Drücken Sie die Taste MENÜ <MENU>.

3. Drücken Sie die Taste NACH RECHTS bzw. NACH
LINKS, um

angezeigt: JA <YES> und NEIN <NO>.
5. Wählen Sie mit der Taste NACH UNTEN bzw. NACH OBEN
eine Option aus, und drücken Sie dann die Taste OK.
6. Wenn sie "JA" <"YES"> wählen, wird auf dem LCD-Bildschirm
"FORMATIERUNG OK" <"FORMAT:OK"> angezeigt.

Bei Auswahl von OK wird auf dem LCD-Bildschirm
"BITTE WARTEN" <PLEASE WAIT> und, nach
Abschluss der Formatierung, "FORMATIERUNG
ABGESCHLOSSEN" <FORMAT DONE> angezeigt.
Hinweise
✤ Mit der Funktion FORMATIEREN <FORMAT> werden alle
Fotos/Filmclips unwiederbringlich gelöscht.
✤ Die Formatierung der Speicherkarte mit einem anderen
Gerät hat Lesefehler zur Folge.
✤ Beim Formatieren der Speicherkarte werden alle gespeicherten Daten
gelöscht.
✤ Schalten Sie das Gerät während des Formatierungsvorgangs auf keinen
Fall aus.
