Setting the Focus Modes

✤ Choose a focus mode to suit your subject and composition.
Auto focusing, Continuous Auto focusing, Manual focusing, and Macro
focusing modes are available.
✤ Focus will be automatically set near the center of the frame.

✤ Focus is set when you push the PHOTO button halfway down. Focus is set
on the subject located nearest the center of the frame. To provide sharper,
clearer images, SPOT metering and MULTI metering modes are available.
Refer to page 116 for further details on Metering Modes.

Auto Focus Mode

✤ Use this focus mode in most picture taking conditions to obtain the best
results. Turning on your camera by setting the Power Switch to
(CAMERA) mode automatically sets the focus mode to Auto Focus.

Manual Focus Mode

✤ Allows the user to adjust the focus manually.
✤ When Manual Focus mode is set, [MF] is displayed on the
LCD monitor.
1. Turn your camera on by setting the Power Switch to
(CAMERA) mode.
2. Turn the Mode Dial to set
(MOVIE) or SCENE (NIGHT) mode.

For SCENE mode, it only works in NIGHT mode.
3. Press the MF/AF button until [MF] is displayed to set the
focus mode to Manual Focus.

[MF] indicator is displayed with a focus bar.
4. To adjust the focus, turn the Navigation wheel.

Selected focus distance is displayed.
5. Press the PHOTO button to take the photo.
6. To return to Auto Focus Mode, press the MF/AF button
until the [MF] indicator disappears.

Manual Focus is not available when the distance is less than 30cm
(0.9 ft) in TELE mode.

Fokus-Modi einstellen

✤ Wählen Sie einen Fokus-Modus aus, der am besten für Ihre Zwecke geeignet
ist. Sie können wählen zwischen Autofokus, Fortgesetztem Autofokus,
manuellem Fokus und Makrofokus.
✤ Im Modus Autofokus wird die Bildschärfe automatisch für den mittleren
Bildbereich eingestellt.
Hinweis
✤ Drücken Sie die Taste FOTO <PHOTO> halb herunter, um die Bildschärfe
einzustellen.Die Bildschärfe wird automatisch für das Objekt ermittelt, das
sich in der Bildmitte befindet.Deutlichere, schärfere Aufnahmen lassen sich
mit den Messungsmodi SPOT und MULTI erzielen.Weitere Informationen zu
den Messungsmodi finden Sie auf Seite 116.

Autofokus-Modus

✤ Dieser Modus sorgt in den meisten Situationen für scharfe Bilder. Wenn Sie die
Kamera einschalten, indem Sie den Hauptschalter auf
<CAMERA>) stellen, wird automatisch der Fokus-Modus auf Autofokus gesetzt.

Manueller Fokus-Modus

✤ Ermöglicht die manuelle Einstellung der Bildschärfe.
✤ Bei Auswahl dieses Modus erscheint auf dem LCD-Bildschirm
die Anzeige [MF].
1. Schalten Sie die Kamera ein, indem Sie mit dem Hauptschalter
den Modus (AUFNAHME <CAMERA>) einstellen.
2. Stellen Sie den Moduswahlschalter auf
<PROGRAM>), A, S, M,
<SCENE> (NACHT <NIGHT>).

Im Modus SZENE <SCENE> muss der Modus NACHT

3. Drücken Sie die Taste MF/AF, bis auf dem LCD-Bildschirm die
Anzeige [MF] erscheint, um den manuellen Fokus einzustellen.

Neben der Anzeige [MF] erscheint eine Bildschärfeleiste.
4. Stellen Sie die Bildschärfe mit dem Navigationsrad ein.

Die ausgewählte Entfernung wird angezeigt.
5. Drücken Sie die Taste FOTO <PHOTO>, um die Aufnahme
auszulösen.
6. Wenn Sie in den Modus Autofokus zurückkehren möchten,
drücken Sie die Taste MF/AF, bis die Anzeige [MF] erlischt.

Beträgt der Abstand zum Objekt im Modus TELE weniger
als 30 cm, ist der manuelle Fokus nicht verfügbar.
