Transferring licenses to a different server

A license can be transferred to a different server from the one in
which it was originally installed.
CAUTION
Licenses that are transferred to another server can not be reinstalled
on the original server.

10 Type the eight-digit unlock key that was recorded in step 7.

On a computer that has access to the Internet, use a Web
browser to go to the following address:
www.hp.com/support/dss_workflow_license.
Open the HP DSS Workflow online license form and complete all
of the required information.
In the License File field, attach the .txt file that contains the
license information.
Click Submit. An activated license file will be sent by e-mail.
Save the received file to the server's hard disk.
On the License tab in the DSS Workflow Configuration Utility,
click Load.
Install the HP DSS Workflow software on the new server. For
software installation information, see
Open the DSS Workflow Configuration Utility and click the
License tab.
Record the eight-digit MFP component number, from the SN
column.
On the original server, highlight the MFP component.
Click Transfer.
Type in the eight-digit SN number that was obtained from the new
server. A warning screen appears and explains that the licenses
for the existing server will expire immediately.
Record the eight-digit unlock key for the new server.
On the new server, select the MFP component.
Click the Update button.
