MFP menu page

The MFP Menus tab consists of a single graphical display of all MFP
device groups, menus, forms, and fields for the HP LaserJet 4100mfp
and 9000mfp, and for the HP LaserJet 9055mfp and 9065mfp all
device groups with associated buttons. Each of these entities can be
managed directly from the MFP Menus tab by using the buttons that
are available on the tab.
The MFP Menus tab contains at least one entry for each of the most
common function-key definitions. This Common MFP Group appears
at the top of the list in the menus area. By default, any MFP that is not
a member of another MFP group is considered to be a member of this
group.
Note
The HP LaserJet 4100mfp and 9000mfp, and the HP LaserJet
9055mfp and 9065mfp entries are contained in different Common MFP
Groups.
Use the Common MFP Group to create the default menus and forms
definitions for the HP LaserJet 4100mfp and 9000mfp, and the default
buttons for the HP LaserJet 9055mfp and 9065mfp. If this group
definition schema is used, new MFPs that are added by installing the
MFP Chai jar files do not have to be configured on the
HP DSS Workflow server. Any new MFP is automatically assigned
the common function-key definitions that are associated with the MFP
type when the MFP is configured to point to the HP DSS Workflow
server.

MFP digital sending

The HP DSS Workflow software communicates with the Chai servlets
that are installed on the MFPs.
The HP DSS Workflow software receives electronic images and index
data in XML format from MFPs and processes the information. Using
the configuration parameters within the HP DSS Workflow software,
the server routes the messages that are received as e-mails or
captures the electronic file based on the function-key definitions.
Create and manage device menu, form, and button entries directly
from the MFP Configuration tab. Use the buttons on this page to
add, edit, and remove the menu entries and the corresponding
routing slips for each form or button.
