Configuring MFPs The Configuration page has two entries for MFPs: an entry to configure the HP LaserJet 4100mfp and 9000mfp an entry to configure the HP LaserJet 9055mfp and 9065mfp A check box that is associated with each entry indicates the specific MFPs for which the DSS service will be started.

    MFP menu page The MFP Menus tab consists of a single graphical display of all MFP device groups, menus, forms, and fields for the HP LaserJet 4100mfp and 9000mfp, and for the HP LaserJet 9055mfp and 9065mfp all device groups with associated buttons. Each of these entities can be managed directly from the MFP Menus tab by using the buttons that are available on the tab.

    Add Group Note Only the HP LaserJet 4100mfp and 9000mfp can be grouped, and only the HP LaserJet 9055mfp and 9065mfp can be grouped. Administrators use the Add Group button to create unique MFP groups that are configured differently than the Common group. The MFP group must have at least one device member.

    General tab Use the General tab on the HP LaserJet 4100mfp and 9000mfp to create the following form attributes: Form check box. Select the check box to activate the form fields. If this check box is clear, then an Action button that does not correspond to a field is added.

The SMTP gateways are a required part of HP DSS Workflow configuration. The HP DSS Workflow server uses the gateway list to route e-mail messages to mail servers for delivery to e-mail addresses.

The HP DSS Workflow server attempts to use the prioritized list of the SMTP gateways in the order that the gateways appear on this list.     Preferences tab The Preferences tab provides the basic attributes that control the internal attributes of HP DSS Workflow server. These attributes control how MFP messaging are stored, forwarded, and routed. Table 4-1 shows the attributes and their definitions.     Component tab The Component tab contains a list of all of the processing and routing components (including notification options, AABBYY Fine Reader OCR, and the multi-router), their description and type, and the Configure button that is used to set their configuration attributes.     Enabling e-mail notification Use the notification component to provide an e-mail confirmation of the status of the HP DSS Workflow document process.   • Page 50 Working with OCR The OCR is a filter component that can accept image files as input. Add the OCR component to a source component that can generate one of the supported input file formats. Table 4-4 provides the specifications and requirements for an OCR source component.

Configuring the OCR attributes The user selects from 65 different languages that can be used with OCR.
