Configuring the Backup Server

To configure the Backup Server, click on Configuration Domain Server in the Administration desk bar.
This displays the Properties window for the domain. Select the particular property page you want
to configure from the list under Pages.
General
You can give this Storage Domain a brief description and a tooltip by entering the text into the Description
and Tooltip fields, respectively. You can also give it a different icon by clicking the Change icon button
and selecting an icon from those displayed. The icon and description will be displayed along with the
domain name in places within the Data Protector Express Administrator. The tooltip will appear whenever
you mouse over the domain name in places within the Data Protector Express Administrator.
To enable an audit log of configuration changes, you can place a checkmark in the Enable audit
checkbox.
E-mail Settings

You can configure e-mail information for the Data Protector Express management domain. You can
also configure Data Protector Express to automatically e-mail the job log to the job owner as soon as
the job has run.
Configuring E-mail for the Data Protector Express management domain
1.
From the Administration desk bar, select Configure Backup Server.
2.
Enter SMTP e-mail settings for your Storage Domain as follows:
a.
Server address: Enter the address of the mail server.
b.
Server port: Enter the appropriate SMTP port. The default is "25", which is usually the
correct value. If you are using a proxy server, you may have to enter a different port.
