These jobs will run automatically if Data Protector Express is open at the scheduled date and time. It is
not necessary for a user to be logged on to Data Protector Express for the job to run. Data Protector
Express will run scheduled jobs even if the user who created the job has logged out so long as Data
Protector Express is still open or the Data Protector Express service is running.
For example, suppose you have scheduled a job to run at 1 1:00 p.m. tonight. When you leave your PC
desktop, log out of Data Protector Express. Do not exit or close Data Protector Express. When the Data
Protector Express Login window appears, click the minimize button to close the window. Although no user will
be logged on, Data Protector Express will still be open and will execute the job at the scheduled time.
Select Logout, then minimize the Login screen
