Node ID
The identification number for this machine. Data Protector Express assigns a node ID
to each machine.
Port
The port number registered with IANA (Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) that is used by
Data Protector Express to communicate across the network with other machines in the Data Protector
Express management domain.
Address type
This field shows the address type that is in use to communicate with this machine,
for example, TCP version 4.
Network address
This field shows the IP address for this machine.

Communication page

Applicable objects: Machine
Use the Communication Test page to test the communication performance of the network. You can
perform a ping test to determine how long it takes an echo packet to travel back and forth on the network.
The packet is sent from the machine on which Data Protector Express is currently running to the machine
whose property page is open. This page can also be used to evaluate the ability to transfer data
under optimum circumstances.
