Selection Filter Criteria

A selection filter contains multiple criteria. To remain eligible for backup, each marked file must satisfy all
of the specified criteria. That is, multiple criteria can be considered to be connected by an "and". For
example, say two criteria are specified: "Created on or after January 1, 2005" and "Greater than or
equal to size 100,000 bytes". To be backed up, each of the marked files must have been created after
January 1, 2005 and be at least 100KB in size.
NOTE:
Some of the selection criteria are operating system-specific. Your Storage Domain may include multiple
machines working with files created by different operating systems. If you select a filter criterion that is
automatically excluded
operating system-specific, files from other operating systems will be from the
backup. This affects, in particular, the Required attributes and Exclude attributes criteria.
NOTE:
Data Protector Express handles two-digit years in dates using the following process. If the year is 70 or
smaller, the century is set to 20 (21 century). If the year is 71 or greater, the century is set to 19 (20

century). For example, if you set the date to 01-Jun-33, Data Protector Express calculates the date as June
1, 2033. If the date is set to 05-Apr-81, Data Protector Express calculates the date as April 5, 1981
