Description
Type the SQL server's host name and the database name with
which you want Intel SCS to work.
Default database name for 7.x release of Out of Band
Management Component is Symantec_CMDB_IntelAMT.
If you upgraded from version 6.x of Out of Band Management
Component and want to reuse old database, type the name of
the database you used in 6.x (IntelAMT).
If the SQL server cannot be reached, make sure that you
configured the firewall on the SQL server computer to allow
incoming traffic.
See "Configuring a firewall to allow Intel SCS and SQL server
connections" on page 39.
Click Use Windows authentication (default) for Intel SCS to
connect to the SQL server using the Notification Server's
application identity account.
If you want to use SQL authentication, click Use SQL Server
authentication and type the user ID and password.
Check if you want the Intel SCS installation to re-use the
existing database with the Intel AMT data in it.
By default, it is checked. Uncheck only if you want to clear
the database on Intel SCS install.
Warning: All OOB site servers in your environment use the
same database. Clearing this check box when installing an
OOB site server removes all data about Intel AMT computers
in your environment.
Check if you want the OOB site server uninstallation to remove
the Intel SCS database.
By default, it is unchecked. Check only if you want to uninstall
the last OOB site server in your environment and you want
to delete all Intel AMT configuration data.
Warning:
All OOB site servers in your environment use the
same database. Removing the database when uninstalling
leaves other OOB site servers unoperational.
Check if you want the OOB site server installation to verify if
the site server candidate is part of the domain and can contact
Active Directory.
