The following sections provide information to help you log in and use the ZENworks Adaptive
Agent:
Section 5.4.1, "Logging In to the Management Zone," on page 89
Section 5.4.2, "Navigating the Adaptive Agent Views," on page 90

Section 5.4.4, "Promoting a Managed Device to be a Satellite," on page 95

5.4.1 Logging In to the Management Zone

When a managed device boots its operating system, the Adaptive Agent is started and all bundles
and policies assigned to the device are available. For bundles and policies assigned to a user to be
available, the user must log in to the Management Zone.
Details
(Optional) Select a registration key to use during the registration
portion of the deployment process. A registration key provides
information about the folders and groups to which a device is
assigned during registration. Selecting a registration key is optional;
if you don't select one, registration rules are used to determine the
folder and group assignments. To deploy to servers or workstations,
choose a server registration key or a workstation registration key
respectively.
For more information about registration keys and rules, see
Section 3.2, "Registering Devices," on page
(Optional) Specify commands that you want run before and after the
Adaptive Agent is installed on a device. For example, you can
execute operating system commands, run scripts, and launch
executables.
The commands are passed to the preagent as part of the
deployment task package. The preagent executes the commands in
the system space, so you must specify commands that do not
require user interaction.
