Machine Name, Login Name, and IP Address: Standard information about the device,
including the login name of the user who was logged in at the time the device was
inventoried.
Site, Department, Cost Center: Demographic data about the device. If one or more of
the fields is empty, the device's inventory data does not contain that information.
Installed Quantity: The number of installations of the licensed product on the device.
This should typically be 1.
Duplicate Allocation: Includes a check mark if the device's installation is also included
in a demographic allocation.

4.10 Retiring Devices

If you retire a server or workstation device, the selected device is removed from your ZENworks
Zone. Retiring a device is different from deleting a device. When you retire a device, its GUID is
retained (as opposed to when you delete a device, which also deletes its GUID). As a result, all
inventory information is retained and is assessable but all policy and bundle assignments are
removed. If you unretire the device in the future, its assignments are restored. You can retire both
managed and inventoried devices.
To retire a device, you must have Device Modify rights. For more information, see
Administrator
Reference.
To retire a device:
1 In ZENworks Control Center, click Devices > Managed if you want to retire a managed device.
or
Click Devices > Inventoried if you want to retire an inventoried device.
2 Click the underlined link next to the Servers or Workstations folder to display the list of servers
or workstations in your ZENworks system.
