Package Page
On the Package Page, you select an existing non-MSI or legacy application to convert to Windows Installer format
and launch the repackaging process.
Task: To select a package for repackaging:
1. Click on the Package icon in the navigation bar. The Package Page opens.
2. Click Browse and select the package or application that you want to convert. Additional packaging fields
appear on the Package Page.
3. In the Product Information area, the Product name and Version number are automatically populated
based upon information in the selected file. Make any desired edits.

Customize Page

On the Customize Page, you can customize your installation by directly modifying the Windows Installer package
or by creating a transform, a file that you append to the package which will customize the file at the time of
installation.
Task: To customize an installation:
1. Click on the Customize icon in the navigation bar. The Customize Page opens.
2. Click Browse and select the Windows Installer package that you want to customize.
3. Under Customization Options, select to either modify the original Windows Installer file or to create a
transform.
4. If you selected the Create a transform file option, enter the name of the transform file you are creating or
click Browse to select a transform file that you are replacing.
5. Click Customize to begin the customization process. InstallShield Editor is launched either in Direct MST
Mode (to create a transform) or Direct Edit Mode (to modify the original
