an upgrade, InstallShield creates a new subfolder and increments the version number in the name of the subfolder.
The default location of the App-VPackage folder depends on whether you are building an App-V package from a
Windows Installer package (.msi) or you are building an App-V package from an InstallShield project (.ism):
•
If you are building an App-V package from a .msi file, InstallShield creates the App-VPackage folder in the
same folder as the .msi file.
•
If you are building an App-V package from an .ism file, InstallShield creates the App-VPackage folder in the
following location:
InstallShield Project Folder\project name\product configuration\release
name\DiskImages\Disk1
A typical App-V application consists of the following files:
•
ProductName.sft
•
ProductName.osd
•
ProductName_manifest.xml
•
ProductName.sprj
InstallShield also creates a
