Converting a Single Application to a Virtual
Package
This section explains how to use the Windows Installer Converter to convert a single Windows Installer package
into a virtual package.
Task: To use the Windows Installer Converter to convert a single application to a virtual package:
1. On the Repackager Home page, click Convert a Windows Installer Package to an Application
Virtualization Format. The Welcome Panel of the Windows Installer Converter opens.

2. Click Next to continue. The Select Conversion Target panel opens.
3. Select Microsoft App-V Application, ThinApp Application and/or Citrix Profile and click Next. The
Conversion Mode panel opens.
4. Select Single Application and click Next. The Select Windows Installer Package panel opens.

5. Click Browse and select the Windows Installer package that you want to convert to a virtual package. All of
the transform files that are in the same folder as the selected Windows Installer package are automatically
listed in the Windows Installer Transform Files (.MST) list.
Caution •

the InstallShield Editor Microsoft App-V Assistant, ThinApp Assistant, or Citrix Assistant to edit this Windows
