Excluding vs. Deleting App-V Application Shortcuts

To prevent a shortcut from being created in the App-V application, you can choose to either delete or exclude it,
depending upon whether you want it to remain in the InstallShield project.
Excluding a
remain in the InstallShield project. This means that the shortcut would be included in the Windows Installer
package that is built from this InstallShield project. See

Renaming an App-V Application

To rename an App-V application, perform the following steps:

To rename an App-V application:
1.
Open the Applications page. All of the shortcuts that exist in the project are listed.
2.
Select the shortcut that you want to rename and click Rename. A box appears around the shortcut name, and
the shortcut name becomes an editable field.
3.
Enter a new name for the shortcut.

Modifying App-V Application Registry Settings

Using the Microsoft App-V Assistant, you can view existing registry keys, values, and data, and add or delete
registry items in your App-V application.
You can also set isolation options for selected registry keys. Isolation options specify how the isolation environment
will provide access to system resources requested by the application.
