Transmission method settings (Memory transmission/Real time transmission)

There are two types of automatic transmissions. In memory transmission, transmission begins after
the document is scanned, and in real time transmission transmission begins while the document is
being scanned. Memory transmission is set at the time of purchase, but if memory transmission is
set to OFF, one transmission job can be specifi ed for real time transmission.
● Real time transmission
The real time transmission directly transmits the document to the other fax machine without
scanning the document into memory. Transmission starts immediately after the transmission
operation, which allows you to easily confi rm the fax is transmitted to the other machine.
The real time transmission is not available using the document glass.
● Memory transmission
Memory transmission transmits the document after scanning the document into memory.
This allows you to take the document and leave without waiting for the transmission end to
save time. For the memory transmission, when the image is corrupted by line trouble, etc., the
affected page is automatically resent.

In this case
Transmitting from the document glass will cause memory to overfl ow.
The real time transmission is not possible from the document glass. Even if the real time transmission is set,
the machine will automatically switch to the memory transmission. The memory may overfl ow depending on the
document. In this case, copy the document and transmit it by the real time transmission using the ADF.
