The hot-swap controller (HSC) is responsible for turning the drive fault LEDs on or off according
to the states specified via commands received from SAF-TE and the IMB. The drive fault LEDs
are yellow and indicate failure status for each drive. The LEDs are physically located on the
LVD SCSI backplane.
The LEDs are 4-terminal dual-color (yellow and green) and are physically located on the
backplane.
5.1.12
SCSI Backplane Status LEDs.
Each SCSI backplane has two status LEDs used to indicate system fail or system alarm. These
LED's are located on the power connector side of the SCSI backplane and are visible from the
interior of the chassis.
