6. Remove the jammed paper as shown.
Note: If the paper is torn, remove all torn pieces from the printer.
7. Close the top left cover D.
8. Close the top left cover A, then close tray 5 (bypass tray).

Clearing Jams in the Document Feeder

1. Lift the lever and open the top cover of the document feeder as shown.
2. If the original is not caught in the entry to the document feeder, pull it straight out in the direction
shown.
