7. When you select the option to ignore the sensor, the sensor is only ignored until
the next time the LC resets. This restores the default value, so that the magazine-
seated sensor is checked.
8. Select Run Utility; a progress bar appears showing the progress of the utility.
9. After the replacement magazine-seated sensor is installed, select Check Sensor.

Capturing Traces

Spectra Logic uses traces to help diagnose problems with the library. Traces should be
run only when recommended by Spectra Logic Technical Support.
E-Mailing Trace Results If you plan to e-mail trace results directly from the library,
make sure that you have already set up those recipients as e-mail users. To do this, see
Mail Recipients on page 86.
Saving Trace Results to USB If you plan to save trace results to a USB device, you must
plug in the USB device before running the trace (see Figure 12-7 and Figure 12-8 on
page 120). If a USB is not plugged in, the USB option does not appear. You can,
however, still save trace results to LCM memory, or just view the results without saving.
To get to the System Traces screen (Figure 13-7), select Maintenance > Tools > Traces.
