SDLT Tape Drive Troubleshooting

SDLT drives have three light-emitting diodes (LEDs) that you can use as
troubleshooting tools:
If you think that the drive may be faulty, follow these steps:
1. Look through the side panel on the library's left side.
2. Note the state and color of the LED on the front of the suspect drive.
3. Refer to the following tables to interpret the indicators. If the drive is in an error
state, contact Spectra Logic Technical Support.
SDLT Tape Drive LEDs
All LEDs are located on the tape drive's front panel (Figure 14-2). Use these LEDs to
monitor the drive's activities.
