3.2.24 Disassemble the Timing Belt and Gear Assy
1) Disassemble Mating Gear Assy
Unfasten the Phillips screw. →①
Unfasten the Phillips screw. →②
Unload the spring. →③
Take out the Mating Gear.→④
Take out the Belt Tensioner Slider. →⑤
2) Disassemble Pulley Gear Assy
Pull out the Timing Belt MXL T464 W6.4. →⑥
Dismount the Pulley Gear. →⑦
Dismount the Pulley Shaft Arrestor.→⑧
Precautions on assembling the Gear Assy:
Thread the Timing Belt from the left of the Print Module. Place the Pulley Shaft Arrestor in
between the Belt and latch it to the Base Plate.
Place the Pulley Gear Assy in the Timing Belt and pull into the Pulley Shaft Arrestor. The
bearing bracket faces upwards.
Place the Mating Gear Assy in between the right end of the Timing Belt. The bearing
bracket faces upwards. Load the Timing Belt and Mating Gear to the Belt Tensioner Slider.
Then fix the Belt Tensioner Slider to the Base Plate.
Hook the spring onto the Belt Tensioner Slider. Unfasten the Philips screw slightly to
stretch the spring. Re-fasten the screws.
