If you removed the jumper, the system attempts to recover the BIOS. A
recovery diskette is needed.
9. Power off, unplug the system and monitor, and remove the access cover.
Remove the jumper block from pins 2-3 and replace it on pins 1-2.

If you removed any expansion boards, replace them (see Section 3, "Expansion

12. Replace the access cover. Reconnect the system power cables and peripheral
devices.
13. Power on the system.
Run Setup (see Section 2).

Recovering the BIOS

The following sections describe how to recover the system BIOS.
1. Turn off the power and unplug the system and any peripherals.
Remove the access cover (see Section 3, "Removing the Access Cover").

Locate the Configuration jumper (J8A1) on the system board (see "Locating the

Jumper" in the previous subsection).
You may have to remove any installed expansion boards to access the jumper

(see Section 3, "Expansion Board Removal").
5. Remove the jumper block from pins 1-2. We recommend that you use needle
nose pliers to move a jumper.
6. Replace the access cover (see Section 3, "Replacing the Access Cover").
Connect system power cables and monitor.

Power on the system.

The system attempts to recover the BIOS. A recovery diskette is needed.
9. Power off, unplug the system and monitor, and remove the access cover.
10. Replace it on pins 1-2.
