System Resources

VIEWING SYSTEM RESOURCES

Some hardware option installations might require system resources such as interrupt request
(IRQ) lines, direct memory access (DMA) channels, and input/output (I/O) addresses. See
the following procedures to view system resources.
Follow these steps to view system resources:
1.
From the Windows 95 desktop, click the "My Computer" icon with the
mouse button.
Click "Properties." The System Properties box appears.

Click the Device Manager tab.

Double click "Computer." The Computer Properties box appears and displays the
View Resources folder.
The View Resources folder shows the system resources used by your computer. For
example, it shows a list of interrupts and how they are allocated. If an interrupt is not in the
list, it is available.

LOCATING THE JUMPER

The following figure shows the jumper location on the system board.
The following table summarizes the system board jumper settings.
