Viewing the Current Spanning Tree Information

The STA Bridge Information screen displays a summary of STA
information for the overall bridge. To make any changes to these
parameters, use the Bridge STA Configuration menu as described
on page 3-31. The parameters shown in the following figure and
table describe the current Bridge STA settings.
Parameter
Priority
Hello Time
Max Age
Forward Delay

Designated Root
3-52
Description
Device priority is used in selecting the root
device, root port, and designated port. The device
with the highest priority becomes the STA root
device. However, if all devices have the same
priority, the device with the lowest MAC address
will then become the root device.
The time interval (in seconds) at which the root
device transmits a configuration message.
The maximum time (in seconds) a device can wait
without receiving a configuration message before
attempting to reconfigure.
The maximum time (in seconds) the root device
will wait before changing states (i.e., listening to
learning to forwarding).
The minimum interval between the transmission
of consecutive Configuration BPDUs.
The priority and MAC address of the device in the
Spanning Tree that this switch has accepted as the
root device.
