3. Point to the Local Area Connection and click the right mouse button. Select Properties to enter the Local
Area Connection Properties settings window.
4. Click the General tab, and verify that TCP/IP is included among the network components list (that is, it has
been selected with a check mark). If TCP/IP is included, continue with step 6. If it is not included, follow the
procedure in step 5 to install TCP/IP.
