Large volume diameters (Ø110 mm or more):
The target area can also be adjusted by moving the
positioning joystick lengthwise (y coordinate).
The y coordinate of the selected position is shown in the
Target field on the main display.
coordinates in the Target field switches the incisor
light off and you can no longer use the thumb wheel to
adjust the y coordinate. To switch the incisor light
back on, select the target area again on the Select
target area display.
Note that the thumb wheel cannot be used in the front
area (between chin and nose tip). Use the positioning
joystick to include this area in the exposure. Proceed as
follows:
First use a ruler to measure the distance between the
incisor light and the patient's nose tip (e.g. 30 mm). Then
subtract the measured distance from the value shown in
the Target field (e.g. 90 - 30 = 60). Now move the
positioning joystick towards you until the y coordinate in
the Target field shows the difference (i.e. 60).
