To run POST:

If you are using an IBM display unit (monitor), turn
the contrast and brightness controls clockwise. If
the display is not an IBM product, ensure that it is
working properly.

Set the power switch on all attached devices
(printer, display, and so forth) to On.

If your computer has a key lock, turn it to the
Unlocked
position.
