Wi-Fi Network Clock Configuration
Positioning the Wireless Router or Wireless Access Point (WAP):
The main router or WAP should be installed in a central location. Depending on the transmission
protocol of your router, the clock must be located within the following ranges:
Wi-Fi Protocol
802.11 b
802.11 g
802.11 n
Check with the access point or router manufacturer, as some transmitters offer boosted ranges.
*NOTE: This clock is not compatible with 802.11a or 802.11ac protocols. Many AC-compatible routers
and access points are backwards compatible with 802.11n. Check your router settings for more
information.
Once the Network Monitoring Software has been installed and is running it will automatically detect
network-based clocks (displays) that have been powered and are on the same network as the PC
running the monitoring software, as shown in the below image.
Before the Network Monitoring Software can be used, there is a need to program each clock (display)
with the Wi-Fi network name and credentials. These initial programming can be done while the Wi-Fi
clocks are in "Direct Mode."
Wi-Fi Direct Mode: Once the Wi-Fi clock is powered, each clock (display) will automatically transmit its
own temporary Wi-Fi hotspot for initial configuration (AKA: Wi-Fi Direct Mode).
Each clock (display) will transmit a Wi-Fi signal (hotspot) with its name that has been already configured
by the manufacturer as default. The 12" analog square clock is named: "Local Time" while each digital
clock/display is named with the prayer name it's displaying.
