Driving your vehicle
Non-operating condition(s)
僅 Smart Cruise Control is operating.
僅 When the charging status of the high
voltage battery is too high
僅 The vehicle is in SNOW mode.
僅 A trailer is attached
僅 When the Driving Downhill (DBC)
function is operating
WARNING
僅 Do not solely rely on one pedal driving
to stop the vehicle. Stopping the vehi -
cle may not be possible depending on
road conditions. Pay attention to the
road conditions ahead and apply the
brake if necessary.
僅 Avoid increasing the regenerative
braking level suddenly on slippery
roads (such as snow or icy conditions)
because it may lead to skidding of the
vehicle and can be dangerous due to
the loss of the vehicle's steering force.
CAUTION
When the vehicle is stopped or parked
by One Pedal Driving on a steep hills, be
sure to depress the brake pedal.
Regenerative braking system
i-Pedal
i-Pedal is controlled by the accelerator
pedal. i-Pedal provides vehicle speed
control (acceleration/deceleration, stop -
ping) without manually controlling the
paddle shifter.
To operate
1. The driver's door is closed.
2. Pull the left side paddle shifter to level
3 regenerative braking system.
3. Pull the left side paddle shifter once
again when the regenerative braking
level is 3.
僅 Check i-Pedal indicator symbol on
the instrument cluster.
Automatic engagement of EPB
After the vehicle is stopped by the One
Pedal Driving function, EPB is automati -
cally engaged when any of these condi -
tions occur:
僅 The driver's door is opened, and seat
belt is not fastened
僅 The hood is open.
僅 The liftgate is open.
僅 5 minutes have passed after the vehi -
cle has stopped.
僅 The system operation is limited due to
other reasons.
僅 Shifting to P (Park)
僅 At the request of other systems.
