This document explains the functionality and the approved application of the:
• SCD 19102
• SMD 19102

The monitors are available in color and gray scale variants:
• Color monitor
– SCD 19102 C, version without protective front pane, without multifunctional stand
– SCD 19102 CP, version with protective front pane, IPx2 at front
– SCD 19102 D, version without protective front pane, with multifunctional stand
• Gray scale monitor
– SMD 19102 C, version without protective front pane, without multifunctional stand
– SMD 19102 CP, version with protective front pane, IPx2 at front
– SMD 19102 D, version without protective front pane, with multifunctional stand

1.2 Intended use

The SCD / SMD 19102 has been specifically designed for medical imaging, with the excep-
tion of mammography. The monitor is intended for installation in a ceiling or wall mount, or
for installation in a base.
The monitor is intended to be used by health care professionals to display the video sources
from various commercially-available devices (with the exception of mammography) com-
monly used in a medical environment, on a single video monitor.
The modality application requires monitors with internal factory preset Look Up Tables in or-
der to adapt the monitors to the human visual system. These monitors do not have to be
calibrated on site.
The SCD / SMD 19102 has five internal factory preset Look Up Tables.
