3.6.2.1 Laser information
Warning
Laser Radiation. Do not use optical instruments directly or without proper protection. CLASS 1 LASER
PRODUCT.
The SFP modules that will be installed in the card socket must be class 1 devices and should comply
with the IEC/EN 60825-1:2007 standard.

3.6.3 WAN 2.5G connection

Additionally, the Teldat M2 router family includes a dedicated 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet interface for WAN connection.
This interface offers an RJ45 port that supports 10/100/1000/2500 Base-T links, with automatic MDI/MDIX detection.
Be sure to carefully observe the labeling to avoid confusion with other ports.

The WAN-2 connector will not work during the booting process and in BIOS mode.

3.6.4 Wireless LAN internal antennas

The Teldat M2 router family incorporates two built-in antennas that cover both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands for the
Wireless LAN module.
Note
The WLAN module is internal and is only available for the Wi-Fi models.

3.6.5 WWAN antenna connection

Depending on the specific model, the Teldat M2 router family may have two connectors for WWAN antennas.
The antennas can be easily installed by screwing them into the SMA connectors located on the rear panel of the
router. Conversely, they can be removed by unscrewing them.

Please ensure that the SFP transceivers you choose adhere to the following regu-
lations:
• Class 1
• IEC/EN60825-1:2007 2nd Edition or any later European standard
• FCC 21 CFR Chapter 1, Subchapter J (in accordance with FDA and CDRH re-
quirements)
• 2014/30/EU EMC Directive and the 2014/35/EU Low Voltage Directive for the
application of CE marking
• UL and/or CSA registered components for use in North America
• 47 CFR Part 15, Class A
