Additional Leveling
Customer floors may be so uneven that further leveling is required. If so, you will need to level the entire
control module and expansion module(s) system left to right and then front to back. The goal in leveling the
module is to adjust the leveling legs to achieve a digital level reading of 0.00 +/- 0.30 in each frame.

Place the digital level inside the front door of the control module.
Ensure that the level is not resting on any debris that would cause an

inaccurate reading.

Level the system left to right.
Following the leveling rules will ensure proper leveling of the module.
Left to Right Leveling Rules:
•
Always make your leveling adjustments to raise the module (turn the legs clockwise looking from
the top).
•
Leave the level in the control module while making adjustments. You will verify all frames later.
•
Make leveling adjustments with the extreme left or right legs (left side of control module or right side
of last expansion module)
•
Since the i2000 frame is very stiff, adjust the appropriate left or right leg pair the same amount when
leveling left to right.
•
Use small adjustment increments. No more than one half (½) turn at a time.
•
After the unit is level within the 0.00 +/- 0.30 requirement, re-establish even leg support by lowering
all internal legs to make contact with the floor.
•
Wait at least 10 seconds for the digital level to settle between each adjustment.
You should not be able to turn any of the feet by hand when the system is

properly leveled.

Level the system from front to back.
Following the leveling rules will ensure proper leveling of the module.
Front to Back Leveling Rules:
•
Always make your leveling adjustments to raise the module (turn the legs clockwise looking from
the top).
•
Since the Scalar i2000 frame is very stiff, adjust all front or rear legs the same amount when leveling
front to back.
•
Use small adjustment increments; no more than one half (½) turn at a time.

After achieving acceptable level condition as measured in the control module, position the digital level
at the bottom of each expansion module frame just inside the front door.

Verify that the system is level left to right and front to back in each frame.
A reading that is 0.00 +/- 0.30 is acceptable.
