Minimum Offset:
This offset is applied to the minimum Acti-Feed setting. This is meant to account for the thickness of the foam
used when creating 3D embroidery. This number should be about or just under the thickness of the foam in
tenths of a millimeter. As most foams used are either 2mm or 3mm thick, the defaults for these values reflect
that thickness.
Looping Stitch
Looping stitch intentionally overfeeds thread. This creates relatively consistent loops and a unique look that
can mimic other thread-through-cloth techniques like a chenille or moss stitch.
This style of embroidery is usually done with a thicker 12wt wool-like thread.
Feed Adjust:
The feed adjust for looping stitches is already adjusted, but the slider can adjust that further.
Sliding this slider to the right will create looser stitching.
·
Sliding this slider to the left will create tighter stitches.
·
Minimum Offset:
This offset is applied to the minimum Acti-Feed setting. Adding to this will feed more thread creating larger
loops.
Calibration History
This drop-down provides a history of the changes made to the Act-Feed Calibration settings. This allows for
backtracking if the newest changes don't have the desired effect.
Thread Break Sensitivity
The sensitivity of the thread break sensor can be adjusted to be more or less sensitive.
If you are experiencing too many false thread or bobbin breaks but your other adjustments are where
·
you like them, you can decrease the sensitivity.
If your machine is not detecting actual thread or bobbin breaks, the sensitivity can be increased to
·
detect more thread breaks.
