17.2. Sensors

The sensors screen shows the status of the sensors.
The onscreen representation of the LEDs corresponds to the state of the LEDs on the board. The sensors
show as
Active
·
Inactive
·
The groups indicate which sensor is being shown.
X-Axis
·
Count - shows the position in relation to machine origin or "Home"
o
Home Sensor - as this sensor is looking for the change point between blocked and open, it
o
could be lit or unlit when at home. However, the slightest movement will cause it to shift to
the other state.
Active - The carriage is toward the left of the machine. (X coordinate/count is positive)

Inactive - The carriage is toward the right of the machine. (X coordinate/count is
§
negative) 
Y-Axis
·
Count - shows the position in relation to machine origin or "Home"
o
Home Sensor - as this sensor is looking for the change point between blocked and open, it

could be lit or unlit when at home. However, the slightest movement will cause it to shift to
the other state.
Active - The carriage is toward the front of the machine. (Y coordinate/count is

positive) 
Inactive - The carriage is toward the back of the machine. (Y coordinate/count is

negative)
Z-Axis

Count - Shows the rotational position
o
Index - Detects which side of the rotation the Z is on.
o
Active - Z Position is between 180° and 360°
