Sensors
The Park Assist is controlled by the following
sensors:
Ultrasonic sensors in the front/rear bump-
ers.
Side ultrasonic sensors.
The Park Assist Professional is additionally
controlled by the following cameras:

Reversing Assist Camera.
Operating requirements
Measurement of parking spaces
Driving forwards in a straight line up to a
maximum speed of approximately 35 km/h,
22 mph.
Maximum distance from the row of parked
vehicles: 1.5 m, 5 ft.
Suitable parking space
Parallel parking:
Minimum length of a detected object, for
example, a parking vehicle: approx. 1 m, ap-
prox. 3 ft.
Minimum length of gap between two ob-
jects: own vehicle length plus approxi-
mately 0.8 m, 2.6 ft.
Minimum depth: approximately 1.5 m, 5 ft.
Bay parking:
Minimum length of a detected object, for
example, a parking vehicle: approx. 1 m, ap-
prox. 3 ft.
Minimum width of gap: own vehicle width
plus approximately 0.7 m, 2.3 ft.
Minimum depth: own vehicle length.
The depth of bay parking spaces must be
estimated by the driver. Due to technical
limits, the system is only able to gauge the
depth of bay parking spaces approximately.
Parking lines for Park Assist Professional:
The parking space must be clearly marked
with lines.
Parking manoeuvre
Doors and luggage compartment are
closed.
Driver's seat belt is fastened.
