remove the C-ring S (nominal diameter: 13) and replace the center boss. When assembling,
apply silicon grease to the areas around the shaft of the center boss.

z be sure to use silicon grease for plastic lubrication.
z
lithium and molybdenum type greases cannot be used.
z After assembly, wipe away any silicon grease that may have protruded around the z
micro switch.

Assemble the shift (6-speed MT) assembly by reversing the disassembly procedure.
z If you forget the part installation locations, refer to the exploded view in "10-5 Shift
z
(6-speed MT) Assembly" on page 167.

- Must be performed by a technician -
Use a cotton swab and apply
silicon grease to the areas at the
base of the shaft.
