Sensor Delta operation and service notes

This section details changes to Sensor Dimming system operation and service
procedures necessary to function in a Delta power environment. Except for
the changes noted in this section, the Sensor CEM Dimming System User
Manual contains all necessary information to operate and service your system.

Auxiliary bay components

Every Sensor Delta Dimming system installation rack includes an attached
Auxiliary Bay. This bay provides the extra space needed to enclose the two-
pole branch circuit breaker array, main power disconnect switches, and load
circuit connection terminals used by Sensor Delta systems.

Using the branch circuit breaker array

Because delta power systems apply phase voltages on both the output and
return wires of a circuit, you must always turn off load circuit power at the
branch circuit breaker before performing any load circuit maintenance. Setting
the output level of a circuit to zero will not remove all voltage.
Warning! Branch circuit breakers in the Auxiliary bay must be shut off
1. Locate the circuit breaker for the load circuit you wish to turn off.
2. Put the circuit breaker switch in the Off position.

Main power disconnect switches

Split bus Sensor Delta systems include integrated 175 amp disconnect
switches for main power. A disconnect switch controls input and output phase
power for 12 dimmer slots. SR12D racks have one disconnect switch, SR24D
racks have two and SR48D racks contain four. Before performing maintenance
in the left-side Dimmer bay, turn all disconnect switches to Off .
Warning! Phase voltages will be present in the Dimmer bay unless all

before servicing loads. Phase voltages are present in load
circuit wiring unless branch circuit breakers are turned Off.
